Mary Rostad’s memoir, Squirrel Is Alive, captures her daring adventures and contributions to the resistance, inviting readers into the seldom-seen world of World War II resistance fighters. Mary later married and settled in Houston, Minnesota, after the war.

Team Squirrel will be here to share Mary’s experiences.  This event not only honors her legacy but also challenges us to reflect on our own courage in the face of adversity.

We are in!

Thank You,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who helped make the library move a success.

This move was truly a community effort. Whether you volunteered your time, donated supplies, offered words of encouragement, made a financial contribution, helped pack and move boxes, or simply cheered us on, you played an important role in helping us turn the page to this exciting new chapter.

Because of your generosity and support, our library has a new home where we can continue to provide resources, exploration, access and discovery with community connection for years to come. What once seemed like just a vision became a reality because so many people believed in the value of this library.

We are especially grateful to our volunteers, local businesses, community organizations, city leaders, donors, and everyone who stepped forward whenever help was needed. Your kindness, hard work, and belief in the mission made all the difference.

As we settle into this new space, we look forward to welcoming you through the doors, sharing new programs and services, and creating memories together. This library belongs to our community, and we are honored to serve each of you.

Thank you for helping us write this next chapter. We couldn’t have done it without you.

With sincere appreciation,

The Library Staff , Board and Friends
